Section 02

Biography

Jaxon Vale was raised on the clean side of a family that stopped being clean a long time ago. He was taught that a real fighter knows when to stop — taught it properly, by a man who is no longer around to say it. That lesson is the whole of him. It is also the thing the Danger Zone is built to take apart.

He has lost his father. He has lost the master who made him a fighter. He has been through this tournament once already and came out the other side without killing anyone, which in this building counts as a kind of failure. The League likes him for it. The crowd likes him for it. Neither of them understands that he is not performing.

He is not here for the belt, and he is not here for the money. His brother is somewhere inside this organisation, and the people who own it are not giving him back. Every round is another door. Every opponent knows a piece of something Jaxon does not. He will go through all of them if that is what it takes.

I already lost my father. I lost my mentor. I lost my cousin. I'm not losing my brother too.
